Community Engagement
C.H.A.T.’s wellness initiatives offers a community-centered, healing-focused experience designed to address the root causes of stress, trauma, and chronic illness that disproportionately impact historically resilient communities—particularly women and girls. Our approach centers whole-person wellness while honoring lived experience, cultural identity, and collective healing.
At the core of our work is prevention, referral network, partnership coordination, community outreach, wellness programs, and healing circles, a restorative practice that cultivates trust, shared understanding, and mutual growth. Within these healing spaces, stories are honored, resilience is affirmed, and community becomes a powerful catalyst for healing, restoration, and empowerment.
Behavioral Health
Our Behavioral Health program centers culturally responsive, healing-focused care by connecting individuals with therapists who share or deeply understand their cultural experiences. We provide referrals to credentialed mental health providers who offer holistic, participant-driven support rooted in respect, dignity, and choice.
By fostering therapeutic connections grounded in shared understanding and cultural affirmation, we support mental and emotional well-being while empowering participants to strengthen their quality of life through compassionate, culturally sensitive care.
Women Wellness
C.H.A.T. is committed to fostering the health and well-being of our community, especially women and girls. Central to our approach is creating spaces that cultivate community, connection, and tranquility to support physical, spiritual, and mental wellness. In our efforts to prioritize mental health, we aim to introduce and expand mindfulness and meditative modalities. We believe Wellness is a holistic integration that necessitates good self-stewardship and promotes proper self-care for optimal health and functioning.
Join us in spaces designed to uplift, inspire, and connect. Our empowering gatherings celebrate diversity, honor lived experiences, and nurture authentic connection—creating environments where every woman is welcomed, valued, and empowered to show up fully as herself. Through thoughtfully planned experiences, we cultivate sisterhood, strengthen community, and inspire collective growth and healing. Welcome. This is your space.
Community Engagement & Advocacy
Our Community Engagement & Advocacy efforts center the voices, lived experiences, and leadership of individuals to drive meaningful and lasting change. Through grassroots organizing and collaboration with trusted community partners, we work to address systemic barriers to health equity, elevate community voice, and advance collective well-being.
By confronting inequities and advocating for fair, just, and inclusive policies, this initiative supports community empowerment and helps build systems where all people have equitable access to health, dignity, and opportunity.
Connecting with Community
The Connecting with Community program supports individuals and families in building meaningful relationships and accessing essential resources. By strengthening connections between community members and local support services, we create collaborative spaces where families feel supported, informed, and connected.
Grounded in empowerment and collective care, this initiative promotes lasting support by sharing knowledge, resources, and relationships that help families thrive and build resilience.
Domestic Violence
We provide a full range of supportive services for all those impacted by domestic violence to keep families safe.

We operate under a trauma-informed, strength-based model that emphasizes empowerment and independent decision-making. Participants are given information, encouragement, and support in order to rebuild their lives and achieve safety, self-sufficiency, and peace for themselves and their families.
On an individual and group basis, we help our participants in the areas of:

We also work closely with community partners to link participants with needed resources including children’s services, healthcare, legal assistance, emergency food, and shelter.
